About McKay HP

The Hamilton County courthouse sits at the center of Aurora the way it does in most of these county-seat towns, ringed by a square of storefronts and framed, a few blocks off, by the grain elevators that mark the edge of downtown. McKay HP works that square once a storm has passed through, clearing the walks around the courthouse and the parking behind the storefronts before the county offices open for business. Lincoln Creek runs quietly along the edge of town, low enough in winter that it barely shows, while the real work of the morning happens on concrete and brick instead of water. Aurora isn't a large town, so a single crew can circle the square, push out to the residential blocks nearby, and still be done before the shops flip their signs to open. It's the kind of clearing that lets a small county seat start its day on schedule.
