Easy Lawn

About Easy Lawn

Aurora gathers itself around the courthouse square, and the town's yards spread outward from there in tidy blocks toward the corn and the Platte a few miles north. Easy Lawn keeps those blocks cut through a central Nebraska summer that runs humid and green, mowing between the storms that build in the west and roll over Hamilton County in the evening. Nothing suits a town like this better than a lawn cut even, trimmed close to the porch steps, and edged so the walk shows its full width again. In the hour after a cut, with the air heavy and the light going gold over Streeter Park, the whole street looks like someone is paying attention. Aurora and the small towns around it share the route.
