About Peterson Ground Roots

Ashland's Main Street keeps its old brick pavers peeking through worn patches in the asphalt, and the storefronts along it gather a thin cap of snow on their window ledges long before any settles on the sidewalks underneath. Peterson Ground Roots clears that block early, shovel first at the diner's steps and the hardware store's, so the morning's first customers aren't picking their way over ice. From there the route swings out to the side streets, lined with the same maples that shade them all summer, now bare and dusted white. It's a short town to cover, which means a driveway gets cleared before its owner has finished a cup of coffee. The work is plain and exactly on time, storm after storm.
