About Vetter's, Inc.

Every October, Wishek feeds a crowd on Sauerkraut Day, and not long after the last plate is cleared the first hard frost silvers the lawns along town streets. Vetter's, Inc. reads that turn as its signal and readies for snow removal season on the high plains of south-central North Dakota. Through the short white weeks of December and the long gray ones of February, the work comes down to the same few things: drives cleared, lots opened, walks scraped down to footing a boot can count on. A corner cleaned so thoroughly the curb shows through is its own small boast, and in a town this size, people notice. Winter here runs long, but it runs lighter with the snow already moved.
