Basaraba Excavating

About Basaraba Excavating

When a big blizzard finally blows itself out, the rolling country around Wilton lies sculpted into drifts taller than a pickup, every hollow filled level and every ridge scoured bare. Basaraba Excavating, an excavating business, turns to snow removal when winter does this to town. Moving that much snow is a lot like moving earth: read the load, find the bottom, set it down where it will stay. Midday after the storm the sun blazes off the snowfields so bright it hurts to look, and the plowed lanes cut through it in clean dark strokes. A driveway dug out and leveled after a big one feels like reclaiming the yard.
