Baker Landscaping and Snow Removal

About Baker Landscaping and Snow Removal

By the middle of October the shelterbelts north of Williston — ash, caragana, a few stubborn elms — have gone the color of old brass, and the first hard frost is never far behind them. Baker Landscaping and Snow Removal spends those weeks at the final mowings of the year, cutting a little lower and pulling down whatever the wind has already delivered onto lawns and walks. Mowing, trimming, edging, and fall cleanup fill those weeks, whether the address sits on a town street or out along a county road. It is a good stretch to be outside: the air sharp, the mornings still, the light coming in sideways across the grass. A yard put to bed carefully comes back stronger in May, and there is a particular pleasure in the last pass of the last lawn.
