Welk's Lawn Care

About Welk's Lawn Care

June light hangs on out here until nearly ten, and the cul-de-sacs west of Veterans Boulevard stay full of kids and sprinklers long past supper. Welk's Lawn Care moves through those blocks on a weekly rhythm -- mow, trim, edge, clear the clippings -- so that a Saturday belongs to the family instead of to the machine. The ground under this town holds water like a sponge after a valley rain, and knowing when it can carry a mower is half of doing the work right. A crisp edge along a young driveway makes a new house look settled, as though the street had always been there. That is the aim, one yard at a time, straight through the summer.
