Gartner’s Snow and Lawn

About Gartner’s Snow and Lawn

There is an hour in a Wahpeton January, well before daylight, when the valley is so flat and still that you can hear a plow three streets over. Gartner's Snow and Lawn is out in it, pushing drives back to the concrete and cutting walks wide enough to carry a coffee out to a warm truck. The wind runs unbroken across this country and fills a driveway twice in a night, so the work is about getting there and getting there again. When the ground finally turns green, the same routes come back around for mowing, trimming and edging through the long valley summer. Cleared before dawn or cut before noon, the aim is the same: a place that looks looked-after.
