About Jeffs Landscaping Inc

Reynolds rests on the floor of ancient glacial Lake Agassiz, ground so level that a January gale can run for miles without meeting a hill. When that wind lifts loose snow off the black-soil fields and lays it across town in long white ridges, Jeffs Landscaping Inc. goes to work on snow removal. The rhythm is steady and late into the night: plow, push, set the pile, swing on to the next drive. Grain bins at the edge of town stand hushed under the same snowfall, and the only sound is the blade scraping toward pavement. By first light, Reynolds driveways and sidewalks lie open, dark and crisp against the endless white.
