Wallys Lawn Services & Snow Removal

About Wallys Lawn Services & Snow Removal

Four in the morning in Mandan, and the lights over the rail yard stand in tall columns of blowing snow off the buttes. Wallys Lawn Services & Snow Removal is already moving by then — plowing driveways, breaking the hard ridge the city plow left across the apron, clearing walks and steps down to bare concrete before anyone has to guess where the sidewalk went. By April the same routes go green and the work changes hands: mowing, trimming, and hauling off the gravel and broken branches winter left behind. Yards here run from the flats behind Main Street up onto the hillsides above town, and each one asks something a little different of the machine. Either direction of the calendar, the reward looks the same — a drive open before the first car backs out, a lawn cut level and clean before the July heat leans on it.
