About Krebsbach Backhoe Service Inc.

Jamestown grew up along the old Northern Pacific line, and the grain elevators still stand shoulder to shoulder with the tracks on the edge of downtown. Krebsbach Backhoe Service Inc. brings heavy equipment to the lots and yards along that rail corridor once a real snowfall locks up the loading areas, pushing drifts back from the doors with the same machines that dig foundations the rest of the year. Snow against a concrete elevator wall doesn't melt fast in a north wind, so the piles get hauled clear rather than left to shrink on their own. The same backhoes and loaders turn to smaller residential jobs elsewhere in town, clearing driveways buried past the bumper after a heavier system moves through. Most mornings, a loader has already opened a straight line back to the elevator doors by the time the rail cars are due, the wall of grain building behind them undisturbed by what piled against it overnight.
