Unruh Earthworx

About Unruh Earthworx

The farmland around Grafton was broken by German and Norwegian homesteaders more than a century ago, and names like Unruh still root back to that same soil, a connection that doesn't disappear just because the ground is frozen solid six months of the year. Unruh Earthworx treats a snow-covered driveway the way that history treats a field — as ground worth clearing carefully, not just fast. The valley's flatness here means a storm tends to blow in the same direction for days at a stretch, and clearing a path often means reading which way the next drift will build before it does. Streets get opened block by block, walk by walk, in a plain and steady way that echoes how the land here has always been worked. When spring finally breaks the valley open again, the same ground is waiting exactly where it was left.
