About Valley Landscaping

Fargo sits on the floor of an ancient lake, and every yard here inherits that flat, dark, open-handed soil. Valley Landscaping works with what the ground gives: mowing in clean parallel passes across lawns that seem to run all the way to the horizon, then edging the walks until the line between grass and concrete is a drawn one. Along Oak Grove the boulevard canopy lets go all at once in October, and the fall cleanup there is a matter of raking a yard back down to green. Spring arrives late and then all at once, the Red River still running high and cold, and that is when aeration and overseeding earn their keep, opening tight turf back up to air and water. By the time the long prairie evenings settle in around June, the first cut of the year is already a memory beneath a lawn thick enough to stand on barefoot.
