Dilworth sits on the old glacial lakebed where the Red River Valley runs flat to the horizon, and weather here arrives with nothing standing in its way. B&W Outdoor Services works that ground both directions — pushing back the drifts that build across open approaches in January, then keeping those same yards mowed and edged once the valley greens up. Winter mornings begin while the rail yard lights are still the brightest thing east of Moorhead, and by the time traffic starts moving on Highway 10 the driveways are open. In summer the pace stretches out into long evenings, grass cut clean and the trimmer line following every fence post and mailbox. It is plain work in a plain landscape, and there is real satisfaction in a lot that looks finished.
