Big Ed Snow & Lawn

About Big Ed Snow & Lawn

In Fargo the wind has the whole flat floor of ancient Lake Agassiz to run across, and by four on a January morning it has usually rebuilt the night's snowfall into hard ridges across every driveway on the block. Big Ed Snow & Lawn heads out into that blue-black hour to set things right. The blade drops, the drifts are pushed off to the banks, and the slab in front of the garage turns from a buried guess back into clean gray pavement. When porch lights blink on and the first cars back out toward work, the way to the street is already open. In a Fargo winter, that is a fine thing to wake up to.
