About Summerville Outdoor Company

Davenport sits in the Red River Valley of Cass County, on land so flat the sky seems to begin at your ankles and the soil turns black as coffee after a rain. Summerville Outdoor Company takes care of lawns in this small farm town, where the growing season is short but the old lakebed earth is deep and fertile. That rich ground pushes grass hard in June, so regular mowing keeps a yard even and full instead of shaggy. Past the edge of town, wheat and soybeans run to the horizon; inside it, a tidy lawn is its own small field, kept with care. It is grounded, satisfying work for neighbors who know good dirt when they see it.
