About Spartan Seasonal Services

Carrington's grain elevators are the tallest things on the horizon for miles, and on a clear winter morning Spartan Seasonal Services can see a storm coming across the open Foster County land before it ever reaches the edge of town. Pipestem Creek cuts a shallow, wandering line through the fields nearby, just enough of a dip in otherwise flat ground to catch drifting snow and hold it through a whole cold snap. The crew's routes run driveways and walkways across a town built around agriculture, where a farmhouse lane matters as much as a Main Street sidewalk. Wind here has nothing to slow it down for miles in any direction, so a cleared driveway can fill back in before the truck's even out of the yard. Season to season, the work is simple and constant — keep the town's driveways and walks open against wind that never really quits.
