Turf Tek Lawn & Landscape

About Turf Tek Lawn & Landscape

Morning comes early to the east bank of the Missouri, and by the time the capitol tower catches its first light there is dew burning off the boulevard strips of north Bismarck. Turf Tek Lawn & Landscape works those hours, mowing in unhurried passes and edging the walks until the line between grass and concrete reads sharp enough to follow with a fingertip. This is prairie ground and it asks for attention: aeration to open soil that wind and heat pack hard, overseeding to thicken what August thins, fertilization timed to the long cool green of a Dakota spring. Come October the cottonwoods down in the river bottoms let go all at once, and there is raking and hauling to do until the yard goes into freeze-up tidy. A lawn here is a small, stubborn argument against a very big sky, and it is a pleasure to win it again every week.
