Dakota Lawn Escapes

About Dakota Lawn Escapes

The name suggests a yard built as a small escape from everything else, and in Beulah that usually means a patio, a fire pit, maybe a stretch of fence line meant to hold the wind off a corner of the property. Those same features change character entirely in January, when Dakota Lawn Escapes comes back to the same yards to clear driveways and walkways instead of mowing lawns and setting stone. Snow finds every edge a fence or a raised bed creates, drifting into the same corners that made the yard feel private all summer. The crew works those residential streets in the early morning, before Beulah's short winter daylight really gets going, opening driveways so the escape a homeowner built stays reachable through the season it's least likely to be used. There's a certain symmetry in tending the same ground twice a year, for opposite reasons.
