About Hick's Landscaping

Washington Park's brick streets are lovely and steep, and in a Winston-Salem cold snap the north-facing halves of them never see the sun at all. Hick's Landscaping clears those hills: the short sharp driveways, the sidewalk stretch running toward the Strollway, the corner where a car always ends up sideways. Blade work first, then salt worked into the shaded strip that would otherwise stay glazed until Thursday. Steps come last and get scraped by hand, one tread at a time. It is careful work on old streets, and the measure of it is that nobody has to think twice about walking down to the shops.
