About Innovative Landscaping

In January the shallow edges of Greenfield Lake can skim over, cypress knees standing in a thin plate of ice while the rest of the city carries on in shirtsleeves. Innovative Landscaping keeps its winter gear ready for the handful of days each year when that cold reaches the pavement — running plows down driveways and lots, opening walkways, spreading salt on the low spots where water pools and sets. Wilmington's flat ground drains slowly, so ice here is less a matter of depth than of where it chooses to sit. Knowing those places by name is what makes the clearing quick. By mid-morning the property is open, and by evening the whole thing feels like something that happened to somebody else.
