Horizon Lawn Maintenance

About Horizon Lawn Maintenance

From the west bank the sun drops behind Eagle Island's marsh grass and lays a copper stripe down the Cape Fear, and for ten minutes every lawn in town looks lit from the side. Horizon Lawn Maintenance chases that light more days than not — the last mow of the afternoon, an edge run down a sidewalk, trimmer work around a swing set and a row of pines. Weekly and biweekly routes carry the mowing, the string trimming and the blow-down, while beds get weeded, mulched and cut back on their own schedule. The growing season here runs long and wet, and a yard kept level is far easier than a yard reclaimed. Ending the day on a finished lot with the tools loaded and nothing left to do — that is the whole job.
