About Grasshopper Lawncare and Services

August evenings around Greenfield Lake, the cypress go black against the water and the insects start up all at once. Grasshopper Lawncare and Services works the cooler end of those days, finishing routes while the light still holds over the south side of Wilmington. Summer here is relentless on grass — heat, humidity, a thunderstorm every third afternoon — so the cut has to come around often enough to stay in front of it. Mowing, string trimming, edging, hedge work, and carting off the clippings and yard debris when they start to pile up. Nothing complicated; simply a yard that never gets away from you.
