About Eastern Turf Maintenance, Inc.

Turf is a crop, and on the sandy coastal plain around Wilmington it is a demanding one. Eastern Turf Maintenance, Inc. reads a lawn the way a farmer reads a field — thin spots, compaction in the traffic lanes, the pale cast that says the Bermuda has gone hungry in the middle of an August. The program runs across the whole year: feeding on schedule, pre-emergent ahead of the crabgrass, core aeration once the soil has packed hard, seed into whatever has gone thin. Mowing keeps its own beat through the growing season, with the height set to what the grass wants rather than what is convenient. Done right, the result is a dense even sweep of green that holds up to bare feet and a hot dry week.
