Red’s Home & Garden

About Red’s Home & Garden

On a June evening in Wilkesboro the fireflies come up out of the grass about the time the mower stops, and a freshly cut backyard is the finest place in the county to stand. Red's Home & Garden tends that kind of ground — mowing and trimming, edging the walks, weeding and mulching the beds, shaping the shrubs that frame a porch. Lawns and gardens want different hands, and both are on offer here. The grass gets cut to the height the season calls for; the beds get cleared so the plants show instead of the weeds. It is ordinary ground made worth sitting out in.
