About Big Axe Tree Service LLC

The Reddies River comes down out of the northern Wilkes hills and gives itself to the Yadkin, and the bottomland along the way grows sycamore and poplar to serious size. Big Axe Tree Service LLC takes on that size — the tall ones over a house, the leaners on a cut bank, the hollow ones that look solid only from the road — bringing them down in measured pieces. Fall is a satisfying stretch for it, the Brushy Mountains turning color and the air finally cool enough to work hard in. Trimming and pruning fill the weeks between, clearing rooflines and taking the dry wood out before the wind can find it. After a storm, cleanup runs until the lane is open and the yard is raked, because half-done is worse than not begun.
