Watts Backhoe and Tree Service

About Watts Backhoe and Tree Service

Whiteville sits far enough inland to think it might miss the storm and close enough to the coast that it rarely does. Watts Backhoe and Tree Service reads the year backward from that, pruning and trimming through the summer so a crown is balanced before September asks anything of it, and removing the pine that has been leaning a little more each season. When the rain finally comes sideways off the coast, cleanup starts at first light: limbs off the shed, a hardwood cut clear of the porch steps, brush stacked where the truck can reach it. Between storms this is easy country to move through, flat and green, the fields running out to a dark line of pines at the edge of everything. A yard put back in order after a bad night is a small thing that feels like a large one.
