Ransom Brothers Turf Pros

About Ransom Brothers Turf Pros

The soil here is sandy loam over flat coastal plain, the kind of ground centipede and bermuda take to when they are cut right and cut often. Ransom Brothers Turf Pros work that turf through the long southern growing season — mowing at heights the grass can carry, trimming close, edging clean, and clearing clippings so nothing mats down and smothers. Weeding and mulching keep the beds honest; hedge trimming and seasonal cleanups keep the rest in line. On a July afternoon, with the heat sitting still over the fields toward Lake Waccamaw, an even stand of turf is what the eye rests on. That result is worth the extra pass.
