Hunter Tree Care

About Hunter Tree Care

The creek that gives Whites Creek its name runs low and dark under the hardwoods, and the whole community keeps to its bends and its bottoms. Hunter Tree Care works the yards and field edges above it: a pine removed where it leans toward a bedroom wall, water oaks trimmed off a roofline, pruning that takes out the rubbing limbs and lets the rest grow. Spring comes fast and wet here, and the storms that come with it break tops and drop limbs across drives, so cleanup is a saw, a truck and a morning spent putting a yard back the way its people know it. There is a plain pleasure in a cut that seals over on its own, in brush hauled off and grass raked level. Evening arrives with the frogs starting up in the low ground, and the work stands.
