About Schoonmaker's Lawn Care

The first real frost usually shows up around Balsam Gap before it reaches town, silvering the high pastures while Waynesville is still only cold at dawn. Schoonmaker's Lawn Care reads that as the signal for the last work of the year — a final cut taken a touch shorter, leaves cleared off the turf, gutters of grass along the drives blown out and beds cut back for the cold. A lawn put to bed properly comes through the winter without matting or dead patches, and it shows the following April. Then the cycle opens again with a spring cleanup and the first mow of the season. Ending the year with a yard that looks settled is a satisfying way to close the books.
