About Castillo Excvation & Tree Services

Waynesville builds itself up the slopes, houses tucked against the grade with the Plott Balsams standing over the whole town. Castillo Excvation & Tree Services works that pitch: a hemlock removed off a steep bank, limbs trimmed back from a tin roof, pruning done so a young maple leads with one strong stem instead of two. Mountain summer arrives as a storm that comes over the ridge in ten minutes flat, and the morning after brings cleanup, with tops off the driveway, brush chipped and the gravel smoothed enough to walk barefoot. Cutting on a hillside is a puzzle of rope and angle, and laying a big stem down exactly where you meant it is a puzzle worth solving twice. When the fog lifts off Richland Creek, the yard looks wider than it did the day before.
