Willmaur

About Willmaur

There is a week in early spring when Sampson County goes from brown to green almost overnight, dogwoods open along the roads, and every lawn in North Clinton wants its first cut at the same time. Willmaur starts there and stays through it: weekly mowing, trimming around trees and mailboxes, edging the walk, blowing the drive down at the end. Summer here is long and humid and the grass never really pauses, which suits a steady schedule better than a heroic one. In fall the leaves come off, and the yards get put to bed looking level and clear. A well-kept lawn is a quiet thing, and that is the point of it.
