The Local Pro

About The Local Pro

The day starts before the sun does, headlights on the two-lane, coffee going cold in the cupholder while the trailer ramp comes down at the first stop. The Local Pro runs a route through Town Creek and out toward Belville and Navassa, and the whole point of a route is that people stop having to think about it. Grass cut to an even height, trimmer work around every obstacle, edges cut in, walks and driveways blown clear. Beds weeded, shrubs kept off the windows, cuttings loaded and gone. By evening a dozen yards have been handled and none of them look like anybody had to hurry.
