About Zays Lawn Service LLC

Late in a Thomasville summer the light goes long and gold over the old rail line, thunderheads stacking up to the west while the crepe myrtles hold their color into evening. Zays Lawn Service LLC works that stretch of the day — mowing ahead of the rain, coming back after it to trim, edge and clear the clippings off the concrete. Down toward Lake Thom-A-Lex the ground stays soft and the fescue comes on strong in October; up on the ridges the clay bakes hard, and a yard here asks you to know which one you are standing on. There is a plain satisfaction in a lawn cut even, the stripes running true and the borders drawn sharp against the beds. When the oaks let go in fall, the leaves get gathered and hauled off so the grass goes into winter breathing. Around Thomasville and the neighbors just up the road, that is the whole of the job.
