About Thomasville Lawn & Garden

The oversized chair downtown looks out over the rail line and the square, and most of what it watches, this time of year, is mowing. Thomasville Lawn & Garden works the streets around it and out to the town's far edges — cutting, string trimming, edging drives and walks, and clearing leaves and cuttings whenever a yard needs it. Chair City lots run from shaded corners under old hardwoods to open ground that bakes all afternoon, and each one wants a different height on the deck. Reading a yard before starting the mower is not a formality here. A town this fond of its landmark deserves front yards to match it.
