About Alexander Excavating LLC

The Brushy Mountains catch the weather that slides across Alexander County, and Ellendale sits right at their foot, where red clay roads go slick before anything else does. Alexander Excavating LLC plows that country — long private drives, gravel lanes off NC 16, the shop entrance that has to be open by six. Snow here often comes with a coat of ice underneath, so the salt goes down as deliberately as the blade goes across. Between Taylorsville and Hiddenite the route runs by first light, steepest approaches taken first. There is nothing quite like watching a driveway you opened carry a car back out to the road.
