Mountain Home and Lawn

About Mountain Home and Lawn

Some houses here are reached by a gravel drive that switches back twice before it gives up the view, and the lawn is whatever level ground the builder could find. Mountain Home and Lawn tends those places — ridge yards, cabins with a green apron out front, and in-town properties whose back edge simply stops at the woods. Mowing a slope is its own skill, and so is trimming around stone steps and the roots that push up through mountain soil. Every visit closes with the drive and walks blown off, because gravel and clippings belong on opposite sides of a line. In fall the same route runs again with leaves instead of grass, until the ground is clear and the view opens up.
