All-American Lawn Care

About All-American Lawn Care

Scotts Creek runs through Sylva talking to itself, and the yards along it wake up wet — dew heavy enough to soak a bootlace by seven in the morning. All-American Lawn Care starts on the high side and waits out the damp on the low ground, because grass cut wet never lies back down right. By mid-morning the mowers are moving in earnest and the trimmer finds every fence post, mailbox and stone the deck cannot reach. There is a plain satisfaction in the last pass: walks blown clear, clippings off the concrete, cut-grass smell hanging in the creek air. A town looks after itself one lawn at a time, and this is that work.
