About Carolina Horticultural Services

Coastal sand holds neither water nor patience, and the plants that do well around Swansboro know it — yaupon holly, wax myrtle, live oak leaning away from the salt wind. Carolina Horticultural Services works with that rather than against it, reading soil and light before deciding what belongs where. Spring brings pruning that opens a shrub instead of shearing it flat, fertilization matched to what the ground actually lacks, and beds turned and mulched so roots have somewhere to go. Mowing and trimming keep the turf in scale with the planting, so a yard reads as one idea instead of three. There is real satisfaction in walking off a property knowing it will look better in five years than it does today.
