About Chatman Enterprises LLC

Where the pavement gives out around Stewartsville the roads go white — that fine Sandhills sand that squeaks under a tire and holds a footprint for a week. Chatman Enterprises LLC runs the properties out that way, the ones with room enough that the mowing gets counted in acres and the property line disappears into pine. Open ground gets cut to an even height, the margins and fence rows get trimmed out, the drive gets edged where grass has been creeping into the sand, and brush that has crowded in from the wood line gets pushed back. Whatever comes down leaves with the truck. It is broad, unhurried work on broad, unhurried land, and the result is a place that looks tended all the way to its edges.
