About Benfield's Lawn & Landscape Inc.

Fourth Creek runs low and quiet through Statesville, and on April mornings the fog sits in the bottomland until the sun clears the treeline. Benfield's Lawn & Landscape Inc. is usually rolling before that burns off, waiting out the dew with the trimmers already gassed. Dogwood and redbud come on all at once here, and a fescue lawn cut clean underneath them looks like the whole spring was planned around it. The work is mowing, edging, trimming and carrying off what falls, week after week, so a yard reads finished rather than merely shortened. By the time the heat lifts off the clay, the truck is two streets over and the first place looks like nobody was ever there at all.
