About Sharpe contracting

By the second week of July the cicadas have taken over the afternoons and the thunderheads build up so reliably around Sharpes that you can plan the day around them. Grass grows hard in that heat, and a yard left alone for two weeks is not the same yard. Sharpe contracting keeps the schedule tight through it — mowing on the week, string trimming fence lines and every obstacle in the way, walks and drives edged, hedges cut back off the windows, clippings blown clear. Bed weeding and mulch keep the front of a place looking intentional, and cleanups handle the shoulders of the year. Pulling out of a drive with the whole property looking even is the reason to be in this line of work. Sharpes and the crossroads around it make up the ground it covers.
