Ruby's Lawn Services

About Ruby's Lawn Services

Late in the afternoon the sun drops low enough to set the upper windows along Fulton Street glowing red — fitting, in the town that gave the world a cherry-colored soda. Ruby's Lawn Services works right through that light: the last mow of the day, trimming down the fence line, the border along the walk brought back to a hard line, clippings blown off the concrete. Mowing, trimming, edging and leaf cleanup make up the whole list, done the same way each visit. Late-summer grass grows faster than anyone would like, and holding the schedule is most of the battle. A yard finished at golden hour is a small, good thing to leave behind you.
