Idol's Lawn & Landscape

About Idol's Lawn & Landscape

Much of the open ground around Salem Chapel used to be worked in long tobacco rows, and the yards that stand there now sit on that same stubborn Piedmont clay. Idol's Lawn & Landscape treats it accordingly: cut on a rhythm the ground can keep, trim the fence lines and the bases of the old shade trees, edge where turf runs up on gravel and concrete. Late summer is the test, when the hickories drop early and the grass goes tough in the heat, and it is met with regular visits rather than heroic ones. A lawn maintained rather than rescued has a settled look to it, level and green right up to its borders. That look is what the work is for.
