About Evans LandWork

Up toward the Virginia line the country around Ruffin rolls out in long fields and hedgerows, and a cold front comes over those rises with nothing at all to slow it. Evans LandWork clears the snow and ice that follow — plowing driveways, opening lanes and walkways, and salting where the shade holds a freeze past noon. Out here a drive can run a good distance from the road to the house, and until it is open the day does not start. Frost lies late in the low fields, and the sound of a plow carries a long way on that still air. Handing somebody back a clear lane with the sun just coming up over the ridgeline is the best part of the work.
