About Xtreme Green

April in Holloway arrives all at once: dogwoods open along the ridge, pollen films every windshield, and the fescue comes back green enough to hurt your eyes. Xtreme Green starts the season right there — first cuts, edges reopened after winter, beds cleaned out and the grit of March blown off the walks. Person County ground is clay that holds water in spring and cracks in August, so the mowing height changes with the month. Mowing, trimming, edging and cleanup carry a yard from the dogwoods through the last warm week of October. A lawn cut on a mild spring morning smells like the whole year ahead of it.
