About Mac's Landscaping

Saturday on the old 117 corridor has its own tempo — trucks headed for Burgaw, a farm stand under a canvas awning, and a mower running somewhere behind the pines. Mac's Landscaping runs a route through Rocky Point like that, mailbox to mailbox, the same yards on the same days so nothing ever gets away from anybody. Each stop is the plain, whole thing: cut, trim the edges, run the blade line clean along the drive, blow the walk and go. The pleasure is in the accumulation, a street where one lawn after another sits neat and level while the countryside goes on being wild around it. Rocky Point rewards that kind of regularity.
