About East Coast Landscapes & concrete

Rocky Point takes its name from a stony bend of the Northeast Cape Fear River, a bit of rock in a country otherwise made of sand, longleaf pine and dark, slow water. East Coast Landscapes & concrete works both kinds of ground, the soft and the hard, shaping landscapes and laying concrete in the humid air of Pender County. By midmorning in summer the heat rises off the sand, and the day's work bends around the weather. A walkway meeting a planted border, a slab framed in green, a driveway joining the lawn without a ragged seam: this is where the two trades meet. What lasts is something built that settles into the land as though it had always been there.
