About Walker Tree Service Inc

In Rocky Mount the railroad runs straight down the middle of Main Street, and the town keeps one foot in Nash County and one in Edgecombe. Walker Tree Service Inc works the neighborhoods on both sides, out along the Tar River bottoms where water oaks and sweetgums grow fast and grow heavy. They handle removals, trimming that gives a crown room to move, and pruning that takes weight off a limb before the limb makes the decision itself. When a line of summer storms climbs the coastal plain and drops half a tree across a carport, the crew shows up for the sawing, the dragging and the hauling. By the time the light turns gold over the old mill on the river, the yard is walkable again.
