Harrell's Lawn & Landscape

About Harrell's Lawn & Landscape

There is a line down the middle of Main Street in Rocky Mount — Nash County on one side, Edgecombe on the other — and Harrell's Lawn & Landscape mows on both. Midday light out here on the coastal plain is bright and flat, the kind that shows every blade you missed, so the trimmer goes around the mailbox, the fence posts and the AC pad out back before anybody calls it finished. Centipede, bermuda and zoysia each want a different height, and the deck comes up or down to suit the yard it is standing on. When autumn arrives the leaves get gathered and hauled off, and the beds take a fresh course of mulch before the cold weather settles over town. A place that looks looked-after, week after week — that is what the route is for.
